Getting There

Boring couple of days since I got home, but hopefully I can set the studio up this weekend. Went driving with my pops again tonight, I'm getting the hang of it. Soon, very soon! Daniel is in town and we agreed to go running tomorrow, SHIRTLESS, so if you see two semi-buff Vietnamese guys running, yeah, that's us. Other than that, not much else to say. Probably going to end off July with another picture blog.

&oh, it's because I think you're special, even if we never seem to be getting along lately.

ms. lip rang

Hey! You look kinna cute, in that polka dot bikini girlllllll!

I still can't believe you beat me again last night. Only because we're on vacation! You know damn well that if we were at home, I'd mop the floor with you any day of the week.

I hope you're having fun on your cruise to Mexico right now! Don't let that belly get any fatter, and don't drink too much. Too bad we won't be able to talk to each other until Friday (so lonnggg!), but that's probably a good thing to you anyways, ha. Anyways, stay cute, and hopefully I'll see you on Saturday!

P.S. Don't forget to get me a burrito (:

Paradox.

Honestly, I'm not ready to leave.

I've had nothing but fun ever since I got here, and its these occasional trips down south that remind me just how important family is.

I'll be back when I'm back. Nothing definite yet, and I've become to accustomed to living life without a schedule. If there's one thing that I'm looking forward to back home, it's Saturday.

Yet there are still certain aspects of my everyday experiences that beckons me back home, and more importantly, to the way I used to live. My life has become nothing more than an intriguing duality; one void is filled while another grows larger, one glass is filled while the other is emptied.

It's crystal clear that yesterday is gone, and today will be going away with it soon enough. There is only the future, and now more than ever, I have been living on a day-to-day basis, taking things as they come. Make no mistake, the empty bottles that have accumulated throughout the past four days are a result of spontaneity, not desperation and necessity.

There are times when I think back, times when I think of the way things used to be, but I've found the strength not to dwell, or at least so far I have. I suppose you can say that I've run out of tears to cry and people to yell at. I spoke with a friend a few nights ago regarding the lack of inspirational sources in my life as of late, but now I see that inspiration to be found in everything.

You gave me so much, so many of the things I needed in order to realize my dreams. You gave me friendship, compassion, generosity, and a heart of gold. However, it was only in leaving me that you gave me what I needed the most: a reason for my actions. You have given me ecstasy that has enamored me and spite which has enraged me, given me a bond to be proud of and a downfall to open up my eyes to it all.

The tools have been placed in my hands, thanks to you (and my father). I've already begun to write, to dance, to sing, to play, to push and to shove and to laugh and to love, and there is only room to grow from here on out. My notebook is slowly, gradually becoming filled, it's pages tattooed with words and lines locked in an endless waltz, merging into one just before it all comes out. It is only through this...incredible, miraculous form of art that I have been able to fully express myself and convey what lurks in the deepest trenches of my soul.

It is only through this that I am whole again.

Lower the sauce!

Like a battlefield, like a battlefield, like a battlefield,
Youtube won't let me embed this video on my blog, boo. I really like this song, though. I don't care what people say, I think Jordin Sparks is beautiful.
So I'm at Kat's house right now. Last night at around 8:30 P.M., my internet went out, so my dad called up AT&T to see what the problem was. Unfortunately, our modem is broken, and I'm going to be internet-less for a few days. Luckily for me, I'm leaving for SoCal tomorrow, and I also have unlimited texting now. Hello!
What's new? Chillin', just chillin'. Headed over to Kat's house today and we went to In-n-Out along with Mae and Aaron. "Can you lower the sauce?!" "Why don't you tell your teacher to lower down the homework?!" I can't believe you still can't see that your sentence was grammatically incorrect, but thanks for the ten straight minutes of laughing, and please don't look at me when I'm eating, thanks.
I found Jessica on Myspace yesterday. For an ex-bestfriend, you were pretty tough to find! I think I've been on Myspace way too much lately, although the next four or so days will give me a chance to get away from the computer and live it up. I depart for SoCal early tomorrow morning. So far, we already have a baptism, a barbecue, a birthday dinner, a trip to Catalina Island, a chill session with Ron and Tia at The Block, more jam sessions with sis, a stop at Adam's skateshop, and hopefully, Porto's Bakery. This list is going to get much bigger by tomorrow night, trust me.
Unfortunately, I have to cut this blog post short, because I'm not home and I haven't even packed yet. Catch me elsewhere, hopefully I'll have internet access while I'm down south, but hit me up via phone, now that I have unlimited texting and minutes to spare.
Goodbye San Jose, hello world!
P.S. Ms. lip rang beat me again last night, darnit.

Easy come, easy go

Now we on top!

I fell asleep on ms. lip rang last night. You finally won for once, and thanks for the bruise, jerk!

My dad had a class reunion today. Now, that may sound boring at first, but think of it: all those years ago when my dad was in high school, he was in Vietnam. And now, 40 years later, the same 15-or-so guys (plus their families!) that he shared good times with back home are reunited again in a country an ocean away. Pretty amazing, no?

Jessica, Anna, and Amanda came over tonight, and after about an hour of trying to persuade their parents, we finally scored some drinks! Too bad I took most of it, and also spilled a little, sorry! I don't even know why we bothered wasting our time when we could have easily taken that bottle of Remy XO from Mr. Federal Worker. "I can't give you any, but if you take it without me seeing it, that's not my problem!" Oh well. We did some karaoke after that, and by "did karaoke", I really mean "made fun of Anna as she tried to sing". Haha, just kidding. Nice seeing you girls AGAIN this week, and thanks for scoring the bee-, I mean, "expired apple juice".

So I got a feeling that the rest of my summer is going to be fucking awesome. Catch me livin' the life, and goodnight to all.

Fire Burnin'

It's been so hot lately!
_DSC1387
So I finally got paid for my services last week. "Wanna see me turn that $50 bill into a $1 bill?!" Haha, thanks and no thanks, dad! This week was insanely chill, save for the heat, which had me sweating almost like a pig. Thank goodness for air conditioning, huh? My room is always the hottest room in the house because I have my computer on, but it's also the cleanest, since I spent about two hours on Thursday night reorganizing and vacuuming. Well, enough about my room, here's my week!

My dad received a call from an old buddy of his on Monday morning, and along with it came an invitation for dinner. Coincidentally, I also used to be best friends with his daughters, whom I haven't seen in about five years. Talk about awkward! We arrived at their house around 6 and I was greeted by several familiar faces. After about half an hour of hanging out and getting reacquainted (a.k.a. playing Rock Band), we headed into the kitchen to eat. Now, the best part about it? My dad's buddy used to own a restaurant, so you know there's some good stuff coming out of that kitchen! We finished eating and I went with the girls and their friends over to Barcode where we got crepes, and I got thai tea. Headed back home at around 10:30 P.M., it was nice seeing everyone again and thanks for the food!

Tuesday started like any other day, but by 6P.M. I was in panic mode, because Bryan had called me up and asked if I wanted to catch the midnight permiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. My Potter days are long gone, but hey, why not? It took about an hour to persuade my parents to drive us there and back, but it was worth it. I believe I already blogged about this in my previous post, so I'll shut up now. Thanks again mom and dad, and Bryan, I'm kicking your ass in fantasy football!

Wednesday? Strictly chill. I'm sure I did something else, but I can't quite remember. I do remember participating in a mock fantasy football draft with Bryan, though. I wish I had gotten that team instead, my real team is 'meh' at best. Thursday was workout day and, like I said above, cleaning day. OH, and I remember now, I went out for a drive on Wednesday night, another hour of cruising capital, at night this time. Only two more weeks until I'm able to get my license, sweet.

Friday might as well be called fat-day, because all I seemed to do was eat. Went to Kat's house at around 1 and we chilled for a bit, then decided to walk to In-n-Out, where I indulged in a double double and fries, animal style of course, and also some Dr. Pepper, which I don't get a chance to drink anywhere else besides In-n-Out. On the way back, three of my friends drove past us. Not having a license sucks. Later on that night, I was blessed with a midnight visit and a ten-piece order of crispy chicken nuggets from Wendy's, and a large drink. There goes the three and a half miles I ran!

I awoke today to a couple of text messages and a missed call. Sorry bro! I couldn't have gone today, anyways. Got my lazy butt out of bed at around 1 P.M., and after I got washed up, mom & I decided to head to Costco. Why? Just for fun, although we are out of muffins again, and we needed more watermelon. Finally got that man-sized hot dog I've been craving for, and spent the ride home eating it, because we were gridlocked in traffic. Today was also my last piano lesson until September, but luckily for me, I've found a new song to keep me company for a month and a half, and this one is probably the hardest one yet. Sweet!

The parentals threw another bash today. Apparrently, normal karaoke parties don't quite cut it anymore, and they've resorted to throwing theme parties. Today's theme was Hawaii, which explains the vodka fruit punch (that goes great with chips, by the way). Remind me not to drink any more red wine for awhile though. We're having another big barbecue tomorrow, which means I'm going to be getting even fatter. Thanks for feeding me so much, mom! I really shouldn't complain though. There are kids starving out there, you know!

Overall, this week turned out pretty good, despite the fact that my sleep schedule is now officially screwed up, thanks to staying up with Ms. lip rang over here pretty much every night of the week. It's alright though, I don't mind! Looks like I'm having a pretty good summer so far, yes? SoCal next weekend, I can't wait!

Before I leave, here's a picture of the heaven in a bowl that I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of eating on Monday and Tuesday.

Gibberish

Or is it?

^So there's my Tweet from last night, haha. See if you can figure out what it means! After a bit of negotiations, Bryan and I decided to catch the midnight screening of Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. Due to his incompetence when it comes to ordering tickets online, we ended up at the most ghetto theater in all of San Jose. Haha, just kidding. I'd say it was worth it though, $10 well spent, which would have been $15 if the Icee machine was working. The movie was actually really, really funny, and of course the random shouts of "WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA!" and "EXPECTO PATRONUM!" only added to the hilarity of it all. I sat next to Bryan on one side and Hagrid's brother on the other side, which was a terrifying experience. Dropped Bryan (oh, and his sister) off afterwards and I got home around 3:30, although I didn't sleep for another two hours. Being an insomniac can be fun.

Tomorrow I'll probably head out to school to get my classes fixed, and then In-n-Out, among other things. Oh, and someone is keeping me company again tonight, let's see how late we stay up this time. Catch me cruisin'.

P.S. HI!

Work, Work.

Meet my dad's 2006 BMW 330i.
_DSC1155
This is what kept me company throughout most of today. Sorry for the rush photography, we were all cleaning and I really didn't have time to sit around and properly set up a shot, but I hope you can see how it clean it is! That's the result of six long hours of detailing, polishing, and waxing, mostly done all by myself. The windows still need to be wiped and the interior vacuumed, but that'll have to wait, because I'm beat and it's late. It was a tiring job, but it all paid off in the end: Dad is paying me for my troubles and also let me drink earlier. Everything is better when you're slightly intoxicated!

Kababayan Fest yesterday was cool, and despite hanging out with people I hadn't originally intended to kick it with, we had a good time nonetheless. I don't really feel compelled to talk about it much, mainly because whatever feelings I had about yesterday were thoroughly captured in the post I made last night, and also because I don't have a drop of Filipino blood in me, hah. Still, it turned out to be a pretty alright day, and I went to bed with a smile on my face.

My mother woke me up around noon today. "Your sister's coming, do you want to go out to eat with us?" WHAT! My sister and her boyfriend had spent the weekend in Napa Valley and decided to drop by to visit us before they left for the LBC again. We went out to eat at Vung Tao, a restaurant I went to many times as a (rather fat) child, but not anytime within recent years. It was a nice surprise; the food was good, the service was pleasant, and I got to see the other branch of the family tree again. Hope you guys had a safe trip home, don't forget about my Blue Lobbys!

Some of the worst singers I have ever heard in person were at my house today as my parents threw another party/bash/jam session while I was diligently working on dad's car. I swear, some people have no musical direction in them whatsoever. It's all good, though, can't really complain about free food and good company. On my break, I chugged down a big plate of food along with a beer and took a leisurely stroll around my backyard. The koi are no longer afraid of me, and the view is looking more and more magnificent each time I reach the top of the waterfall. Soon, it will be mine.

I really have no plans for this week, but I do intend to make some, so let's kick it sometime. It's 12:13 now, I'll catch you on the Lunes.

P.S. I love Cali in the summertime.

Stealthed Up

Quick pickup for $45 yesterday, hello.
_DSC1090
So this week turned out to be pretty good, actually!

Monday was an average day, average average average, stayed home and chilled. Nothing much happened, but I think I watched Even Stevens at 3:30 A.M. that night. Louis set up Ren to go out with Ernie, hahah. Oh, I also watched Pirates of the Caribbean.

Tuesday! Headed over to my friend's house and chilled for the whole day. We were supposed to go to the mall, but we got lazy, so I stayed there until around 12:30. No spiders this time, thank goodness.

Wednesday was another kick-back day at home. I woke up at 8 A.M. thanks to a text message and my mother barging into my room, and I didn't feel like sleeping again, so I decided to treat myself to a big breakfast for once. Scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, a double chocolate chip muffin from Costco, and a glass of milk. It was also piano day. "He's gotten a lot better, don't you think?" "Yeah, I think so!" Maybe if people actually bothered to listen, my progress wouldn't have come as such a surprise. No biggs though.

Thursday was my mall day at last! Picked up some shorts and a couple of shirts for summerwear. My phone was buzzin' off the hook, everyone always makes last-minute plans with me! I got home around 9 and an hour later a couple of cool kids swung by my house, fun fun. My bug bites also began to swell, so I asked my brother what I should do. "Pop it! That's what I always do, it feels good." Thanks but no thanks, they popped on their own already. I went to bed pretty late, but not before I changed my bedsheets.

Friday, or today I should say, was pretty sweet. I woke up late, again, but at least my mom wasn't home yet. Watched Spongebob, skipped lunch, and got to work on cleaning and whatnot. "Were you cleaning your shoes again?" Yeah mom, sorry the house smells so much. My friend came over around 3 to drop off some stuff and we headed to Great Khan's again, the second time in two weeks. I got more this time, and also ate more, but still didn't finish. That stuff hits the spot, mannn. We decided to head to McDonald's immediately after where I purchased a soft-serve vanilla ice cream cone, which was delivered to me by this cutie who's name I didn't quite catch in time. No worries, I'll be back for more, trust me.

Plans for the rest of the day? Eat, work out, piano, unless anyone else has anything to do. I have a feeling my friend wants to play poker, sorry I couldn't make it last time! Hit me up tonight, I'm down for sure. Anyways, tomorrow is Kababayan Fest. See you there!

WELCOME TO THE EXCITING WORLD OF CHEMISTRY.

Sodium Chloride, or NaCL, is table salt. Its pH level is 7 (neutral), and I highly doubt I'm going to die from something that I eat every day.

In other news, Squidward Tentacles is fucking awesome.

Do The Right Thing!

Okay, you a goon, but what's a goon to a goblin?

So I'm finally awake before noon for once, and I thought I'd take this time to blog, since most of my blogs seem to be posted in the evening.

Wondering what was in that box I got the other day?

DTRT Red Metallic Is

Air Jordan.

Jumpman!

Yup! My DTRT Red Metallic Air Jordan Is came in the mail, finally. These babies are gorgeous in person and definitely worth the pickup. These don't even officially hit retailers until July 4th, but I was able to snag a pair early, heh heh.

I may or may not update this blog again later tonight, depending on my mood, but for now, my muffin awaits me. Double chocolate chip, hello!
