Something Different.

DSC_0156
^I decided to order something different this time. I think I have a new favorite drink.

So it seems I'm always a day or two late with the updates, sorry! But nonetheless, they always turn up sooner or later, and that's what matters in the end, right?

This past Monday was probably the best Monday we've had this entire school year, which caught me by surprise after a so-so weekend. Prior to going to bed the night before, I had set my alarm clocks for another ten minutes later than my usual waking time and planned my outfit for the day to come, which consisted of my "beater" clothes. When I awoke, I jumped in for a quick rinse, brushed my teeth, put on the nearest pair of pants and threw on a jacket; I didn't even bother to change out of the shirt I slept in.

As soon as I stepped into my dreaded first period class, I had already felt the usual "Monday disease" creep slowly towards me. Second period was no different, and by third, I was falling asleep in class. I awoke to a pop quiz on the movie that the class had just watched, and somehow managed to answer 4 out of 6 questions correctly, which would have been 5 had I listened to my instincts and not hesitated. I stumbled out of the classroom, still half-asleep, but what I was greeted with when I arrived at the usual spot made me wide awake. For the first time in a long time, everyone seemed to be in high spirits and full of energy, which is a rare occurrence, especially for a Monday of all days. The increased level of eccentricity among my friends was a much-needed shot of adrenalin, and needless to say, my mind was in full-swing for the rest of the day.

AP Chem rolled around the corner, and again I managed to somehow stay awake for both periods AND take proper notes AND correctly answer the equations. An earthquake struck early on in the class period, providing a dose of hilarity for the class. Apparently some people are oblivious to the ground shaking beneath their feet, for about five minutes after the tremor occurred, a nearby teacher (she was a short, old Asian lady with glasses) came running into our classroom, yelling at the top of her lungs. "WAS DAT AN EARTHQWAKE DAT JUS HAPPEN?" Geez, people!

Sixth period came along with an assessment test. Fortunately, it wasn't graded, which was a big break for me because by question 62, my eyes had started to droop and my mind began to commence afternoon-shutdown phase. I don't know how on Earth I read "Carlito" as "Carlton"; I need to stop watching so much Fresh Prince! Eager to get some shut-eye, I blazed through the remainder of the test and was able to put my head down for a nice 8 minutes before the bell rang. I think I've had more fun after school that day than I did after school for all of last week. Another "fight" broke out, and as usual, was broken up pretty quickly. The boys and I decided to head over to Jamba Juice after school again, for the second time in two straight school days. I was reluctant to go at first, but I'm glad I did, for I think I've found a new favorite drink.

On the way back to Daniel's house, my mom called me. Why, mom?! We walked as fast as we could and as soon as we stepped foot inside his house, I stripped down to my usual workout attire (tanktop) and hit the bench press, but by that time it was too late. I only managed to get in about 5 sets of 8 before my mom arrived. I answered the phone and told her to hang on, then proceeded to hop back onto the bench press and finish up another two sets as fast I could until I finally gave in. Looks like working out will have to wait.

As usual, I fell asleep on my couch watching TV, although Spongebob wasn't on that day for some odd reason, so I flipped it over to Happy Gilmore instead. When I finally woke up, it was Cops, which is pretty darn ironic because not too long after that, my car was stolen. You can contact me personally if you want the details, as I'm not too hyped up to start talking about it right now, but basically, they still haven't found it, and shit sucks. Pardon my language, it's been rough. Ultimately, there's not much I can do about it now, and I've been doing my best to cope with everything, which surprisingly is going much better than I thought it would.

The rest of the evening brought good tidings. 24 was as intense as ever, and although I haven't caught up with Heroes yet, I'm sure it's a great one as well. I spent some time on the phone after that, which isn't something I do often, but it's always nice. At least until my phone runs out of battery and/or people start falling asleep on me. But it's all good, Billy Mays all day! Went for a quick run and workout session after that, and then spent some movietime with my parents, something that I haven't done in awhile. My parentals headed off to bed after, so I warmed up some leftovers and let the lull of The Military Channel carress my mind. Soon after, I crawled into my own bed and headed off to la-la-land to count them sheep, where I had the best night of sleep ever.

So there's my Monday in a nutshell. A pretty large one at that; I know my blogs are always gargantuan, sorry! As for Tuesday? Not much happened today, and all you need to know is that I had a big boat full of sushi and a bowl of green tea ice cream.

That's about it for now. Remember to eat lots of bananas and happy April Fool's day!

P.S. Junior Prom is this Saturday!
